Thanksgiving Crochet Patterns for Babies I’m Obsessed with Right Now
Fall has always been my favorite time of year. I love the changing leaves, a pumpkin spice chai in hand, cozying up in sweater weather, and taking foggy walks that make the world feel a little bit quieter. Add in delicious Thanksgiving food, time with family, and a chance to slow down and remember all the things we have to be grateful for… it’s hard not to love this season.
This fall feels especially sweet because it’s our first with our little girl, a baby we’ve spent years praying for. We’re so blessed to have her here and to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family this year. In between contact naps and dirty diapers, I’ve been enjoying getting my crochet hook back in my hand and making more adorable little things for her to wear. There’s something about a tiny handmade sweater or hat that makes getting her dressed even more special.
I also have a couple of knitted sweaters my aunt made for me when I was a baby that I’ve gotten to see my daughter wear recently. Getting to see those pieces passed down to another generation makes me appreciate even more how special handmade baby clothes can be. They’re not just something cute to wear for a season. They can become little keepsakes tied to memories and loved ones, treasured long after a baby has outgrown them.
Of course, not every Thanksgiving outfit has to be an heirloom! Sometimes a silly turkey hat or a full little Thanksgiving outfit is just the thing for a few laughs and some memorable family photos. Other times, a timeless dress, sweet cardigan, or cozy pair of booties is exactly what you’re looking for. I wanted this collection of Thanksgiving crochet patterns for babies to include a little of both, with playful holiday pieces alongside classic designs you can imagine saving for years to come.
Whether you’re making something for your own little one or crocheting a special gift for a family member or friend, I hope you find a pattern here that makes you excited to pick up your hook!

Gobble-Worthy Giggles
Some Thanksgiving outfits are just meant to make you smile! From pumpkin-inspired hats to tiny turkey feathers, these playful crochet patterns are perfect for holiday photos, family gatherings, and babies who deserve a little extra seasonal silliness.

Pumpkin Pie Baby Hat (The Sweetest Slice of Fall)
This baby hat is one of my favorite ways to bring a little autumn fun to a baby’s wardrobe! The alpine stitch creates a lovely pumpkin-like texture, while the ruffled pie-crust brim and dollop of whipped cream on top make it look just like a slice of homemade pumpkin pie. It’s a fun choice for Thanksgiving photos, especially if your family is as excited about dessert as mine is!

Acorn Hat (A Little Woodland Charm)
For something that feels right at home among the fall leaves, this adorable acorn hat combines a unique texture with an oversized leaf on top. The textured stitches give it plenty of character, while the leafy finishing touch makes it feel like a tiny treasure picked straight from the forest floor! It’s a sweet option for autumn outings and cozy family pictures.

Pumpkin Sunflower Outfit (A Fall Floral Set)
This pumpkin outfit gives the classic fall look a cheerful twist! The orange bloomers pair with a matching pumpkin hat, complete with a sunflower perched on top. It’s bright, playful, and full of seasonal personality—a lovely choice for pumpkin patch pictures or a Thanksgiving outfit that’s a little more whimsical than traditional.

Turkey Outfit (Ready for the Thanksgiving Table)
This little turkey outfit is made for a few holiday giggles! Turkey Stuffie (A Feathered Little Friend)
Of course, not every Thanksgiving crochet project has to be something a baby wears! This adorable turkey stuffie is a fun extra for the collection, with a soft, cuddly bird design that’s perfect for adding a little handmade holiday charm. The designer has adapted a base bird pattern to create the turkey version, and you can find both the original bird pattern and the turkey modification here! The turkey add-on costs less than a dollar, making it a budget-friendly way to give the original design a festive makeover!

Heirlooms in the Making
Not every holiday outfit needs a turkey on it! These patterns lean toward classic shapes, pretty stitch details, and pieces that could be worn for Thanksgiving dinner, family portraits, or other special occasions throughout the season. They’re also lovely options for handmade gifts that might be saved and passed down.

Sweet Pea Cardigan (With Even Sweeter Bows)
This is a sweet choice if you love delicate details without an overly complicated design. The shell stitches give the cardigan a lovely texture, while the two little bows at the front add a soft, feminine finish. It’s the perfect layer to elevate any sleeper or onesie underneath!

Storybook Lane Overall Dress (A Little Dress to Treasure)
My overall dress design combines the same beautifully textured shell stitch as a skirt with matching details along the straps and a satisfying ribbed bib. The overall-style shape gives it a classic look, while the stitchwork adds just enough detail to make it feel special. I love designs like this because they’re sweet for a holiday gathering, but aren’t limited to one particular occasion!

Beatrice Dress (A Touch of Lace)
For a more traditional baby outfit, the Beatrice Dress features a simple silhouette finished with a feminine, lacy collar. That little detail gives the dress a lovely heirloom feel without needing lots of extra embellishments. It would be beautiful for Thanksgiving dinner, a family portrait, or another special day when you want your little one dressed up a bit.

Pumpkin Romper Set (A Girly Fall Favorite)
This matching pumpkin romper set has everything you need for a festive little outfit: an orange bucket hat with a flower appliqué, a matching romper with a pumpkin detail on the chest, and tiny sandals finished with more flowers! The coordinated pieces make it especially fun for autumn photos, while the soft orange palette keeps everything feeling warm and seasonal.

Classic Long-Sleeve Romper (Beautiful Texture, Timeless Style)
If you prefer a more understated look, this knit-style long-sleeve romper is a lovely alternative to the pumpkin and turkey designs. Its classic shape makes it easy to dress up for Thanksgiving, and the beautiful texture gives it plenty of interest without relying on seasonal appliqués. It’s a versatile piece that could be worn well beyond the holiday itself.

Pumpkin Pixie Bonnet (A Whimsical Autumn Heirloom)
This pumpkin pixie bonnet is a charming mix of playful and traditional. Its pointed shape gives it that storybook look, while the little pumpkins scattered along the crown bring in just enough Thanksgiving autumnal spirit. It’s a lovely way to add a seasonal touch to a simple baby outfit, especially if you prefer accessories over a full themed set.
