Easy Summer Crochet Projects You’ll Actually Use
By the middle of July, I always find myself in a strange place.
The novelty of summer has worn off, the heat feels a little less charming than it did in May, and suddenly I catch myself longing for the days of cozy blankets, a pumpkin spice chai in hand, and some crisp autumn morning air.
And while I absolutely cannot wait to spend this fall snuggling my newborn baby girl and crocheting all the cozy things, I’m also trying not to rush through the season we’re in.
Because the truth is, autumn will be here before we know it.
So instead of fighting the heat with a giant blanket project, I thought it would be fun to round up some practical summer crochet projects that are useful, beginner-friendly, and perfect for this time of year.
Many of these patterns also make wonderful gifts. Whether you’re attending a housewarming party, celebrating newlyweds, visiting friends, or looking for a small handmade addition to pair with something from a wedding registry, these projects are thoughtful without requiring weeks of work.
And who knows? By the time you’ve finished a few of these projects, autumn might be a little closer after all.
